Talking Short is cute

I created my monk with the possible smallest size as I think it's funny when a small invinci-monk is beating on huge Attaxes ^ ^

Tab targeting aside, smaller avatars have a very slight advantage when it comes to escaping human player attention.

Smaller avatars are a tradition that goes back fairly far in online PvP games. In DAoC and, later in WoW, this habit of making certain classes as small as possible (if you had a choice) was fairly common.

In DAoC for instance, you could hide in a bush or clump of trees in order to ambush enemy players or at least get the drop on them so you could fire off your AoE CC.

I dunno, I've just always made small characters, except for maybe my 1st two, can't really remember, but if not smallest size, they're pretty tiny.
Like playing on my war who's small sized, then standing next to war some of the other warriors in my alliance and coming up to their chest. Quite funny

But big monks do look a little odd, armour looks a little stretched on them. Plus the old belief that it's possible to get hit less if tiny. I just like being the smallest char in the alliance with her

guess since your obviously going to get targeted its some subconcious inclination to avoid attention, seems a little silly though. i mean would you also dye your monk armor green to avoid detection... seriously. make big monks! size matters, really.

I dont care about the heights of my characters. I just make them and use the preset height, I hardly ever touch the height meter. However when I made my warrior I was thinking of Master chief from from Halo who was like 7ft tall, so i made my warrior huge . My monk is average height (same height as Rurik ). What height is considered huge for female ele? Max? My ele's height is a bit taller than Cynn.

My Monk is as big you can get them and look fine in fact I had a few comments on her in game and no big Monks don't look weird. If you want to see mine it is in the screenshot forum. Most Monks are a medium sized.

Did you ever notice how tall Alesia and Lina are?

The first monk that I created was medium height -- the exact center of what could be made. After deleting that one I made a new monk that was as small as possible because I wanted to see as much of the screen as I could at any given time. Having a big body taking up a bunch of pixels just was't efficient. Then my play partner made a male necro as small as was possible and I made a female monk as large as was allowed, just for contrast... Guess what? The necro is still just a tad taller. For some reason GW doesn't believe in tall female monks.

This is kinda a funny observation to me. I have a monk (female) who is as small as they come, she looks like a pigmy elf. And a warrior (male) that is as big as they come.

Why? couple things. I know about tab to switch targets, truth is most poeple use c space. So having a small monk allows you to hide from people who dont use the Tab tecqnique. Does it always work? No actually most times it doesn't but those one or two times it does great. But then again I don't pvp much, and rarely monk in PvP. So why did I make her small?

Simple, she looks cool small. Spec standing next to a huge warrior. Thats it. most of my female charactors are small (Monk, ele, Necro, sin,rit and derv) and my male charactor (War, Ranger) are big. call it sexist but maybe something Froidian is comming out in me
